Botox (onabotulinumtoxin A)

Manufacturer: Allergan since 1980s

Ingredients: BoNT/A with proteins, human serum albumin, and sodium chloride

Xeomin (incobotulinumtoxin A)

Manufacturer: Merz since 2009

Ingredients: Double-filtered BoNT/A with human serum albumin and sucrose.

Xeomin is a purified form of BoNT/A while Botox contains a complex mixture of proteins (AKA additives).

Stay upright for at least 4 hours. No laying down, no naps - Stay standing or sitting upright! Just run some errands or do some chores for a bit.

For the next 24 hours,

• Do not work out, run, use a sauna, or take a hot shower - anything that raises your body temperature can deactivate the Tox.

• Do not sleep on your belly. Why? Because you’ll apply pressure to your face, which can move the Tox. We want it to stay put where it was injected.

• Do not wear hats/caps, headbands, or anything that can apply pressure. Remember the sleeping tidbit.
